Network/Central Office Technician Our client, Niagara Telephone Company, a progressive, leading provider of communication services in Northeast WI for 70 years, is seeking a team player to join its technical area in the Niagara, WI office - located 5 minutes south of Iron Mountain, MI. This position is responsible for the implementation and administration of the company’s central office facilities, switching platforms, remote switching units and wireless technology. Duties include the installation, maintenance, servicing, and testing all types of wireless and line-side central office facilities, remote switching units, carrier systems and other associated equipment to deliver leading-edge services to a wide range of subscribers. The ideal candidate will have a 2-year technical degree, relevant military experience, equivalent special networking training, or equivalent work experience. Telecommunications switching systems or experience in LAN/WAN operations and IP connectivity is required. Metaswitch soft switch preferred. Experience with Calix, Cisco, Alcatel Lucent, IPTV (fiber/copper), fiber networks, fixed wireless, IP networks, and SS7 networks a plus.
