TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR 

HickoryTech, a dynamic communications company offering a full range of the latest products and services, is seeking qualified candidates for a Transport Supervisor at our Plymouth, MN location. 

Primary responsibilities include ensuring the integrity of the electronics on the fiber network, including necessary maintenance, repair and upgrades, supervising the installation, maintenance, repair, and all other activities performed by Transport Technicians, and actively participating in the safety program. This position will also require weekly travel to our Duluth location and periodic travel to our Rochester location. Minimum qualifications include a 4 year Technical Degree or the equivalent in experience, 6 years Optronics experience, including 3 years with SONET, 1-2 years of supervisory experience required, computer proficiency, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications, ability to travel frequently, valid driver’s license and good driving record, and good team building skills.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT

Interstate Telcom Consulting, Inc. has an opening for a Consultant.  As a Consultant, you will assist our clients by preparing jurisdictional cost studies and providing general regulatory and technical support.  Knowledge of central office and outside plant would be helpful.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting and at least two years of related work experience with cost studies, regulatory consulting, central office equipment and outside plant.  Other requirements include knowledge of regulations and technical issues relating to telecommunications companies, experience in interconnection agreements, tariff filings, NECA pooling, and forecasting.  This position requires some travel, including overnight stays.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

The successful candidate will be responsible for: coordinating all aspects of new installations including scheduling, labor, contract adherence, and contacting necessary outside parties; managing material and labor costs to ensure achievement of expected profit margins; and generally managing large and complex systems projects. This position is located in Plymouth, MN. Minimum qualifications include a 4-year degree or the equivalent in experience, 5 years experience in the telecommunications industry, 3 years project management experience, strong communications and organizational skills, strong computer skills, and strong analytical skills. Cisco experience and PMI Certification are preferred.
