Wisconsin State Telecommunications Foundation (WSTF)
About WSTF
No force is stronger than education in helping an individual to reach their potential.
In light of the overwhelming evidence for the need and merit of privately supported scholarships, the Wisconsin State Telecommunications Association established the Wisconsin State Telecommunications Foundation, Inc. in April 1965 to further the education of young people in our state.
The purpose of the Foundation, which is a non-profit organization, is to promote educational and scientific advancement by helping individuals obtain instructions or training to improve and develop their capabilities. The members of the Foundation are those companies with membership in WSTA as either active or associate members. The WSTF accomplishes its purpose by awarding scholarships to deserving students throughout the state.
The Foundation's scholarship program has grown tremendously since the first two awards of $500 each were made in 1966. Since its inception the Foundation has awarded over $1,917,500 in scholarships to over 1,503 students. The Foundation celebrated 50 years of awarding scholarships in 2016!
